Without a doubt, my favorite shop this week has been Captain Cat. No matter what I search for, I seem to find results from this shop, and am always amazed and inspired by what I find.

From their shop: "Captain Cat (aka CaptainCat Collective) is the name given to the on going Art and Design projects of Portland,Oregon born Artist, Designer and Photographer Zelda English and Portuguese Painter and Musican Rodrigo Neto."





My favorite items in their shop are their amazing handmade masks, made from paper mache, recycled materials, and sculpted card board. There is a long history in paper mache masks, and as Captain Cat points out, it is a folk art as old as paper making itself.


I also enjoy Captain Cat's collection of vintage items, original mixed media art, and beautiful paintings. Each piece individually looks like part of a dream, and every piece in shop portrays a life full of wonder when put together.
