5 Handmade, DIY Calendars for 2012
I have a secret - sometimes, I procrastinate. That's mostly why I don't have a 2012 calendar yet, which I NEED because I don't do the Smart Phone thing. Yesterday I thought, why do I need to buy a calendar? I mean, I always buy handmade calendars for myself, but why can't I make my own? And even better, what if I never have to make a new one again? So, for my Going Home to Roost guest post this week, I wrote about my dry erase calendar project.
I was inspired both by my previous DIY dry erase project, and the paint chip calendar, below. It's so easy to do, you just need a shape you can stamp with, like a round wine cork, or a square sponge. I used paint with my wine cork, and in 3 colors: yellow, cream, and silver.
All you have to do is fill it out at the first of each month, erase, and repeat! Just make sure to add enough days for a 31-day month that starts on a Saturday. For the full tutorial, head on over to Going Home to Roost!
I spent a good half hour looking for interesting DIY calendars before I came up with my idea... here are some of my favorites out there:
Perpetual calendar at Design Sponge:
Chalkboard wall calendar at Momtastic:
Paint chip calendar at Hey... Things Change:
Design-your-own owl calendar at My Owl Barn:
So, which one is your favorite?
